Statement on Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE’s)
All players are subject to random doping control tests at PDC events.
You should check if your prescribed medications appear on the 2018 World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List by using the search function on the Global DRO website.
CLICK HERE to check your medications on Global DRO, then follow the instructions on the website or as below.
- User Type – Athlete

- Search For – Add Your Medication
- Search –
- Accept ‘Terms and Conditions’ –
- Pick which medication –
This will then tell you if your medication is prohibited or not prohibited in or out of competition.
If your medication is prohibited, then you are required to obtain a TUE.
Tour Card Holders:
Currently UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) require all PDC Tour Card Holders to obtain a TUE prior to competing in any PDC events.
Non-Tour Card Holders
Are not required to obtain a TUE in advance of competition, but are instead required to submit a retroactive TUE if they are subject to a doping control test.
To apply for a TUE, you will need to complete a UKAD TUE application form and submit supporting medical evidence which confirms your diagnosis, provides information on your treatment plan and contains clinical justification for the use of the prohibited medication over any permitted alternatives.
Further information on TUEs can be found on the UKAD website along with the downloadable UKAD TUE form, see below.
