Travel Advice during the Global Pandemic
Enclosed is important information for all players travelling to PDC events and home after.
It is IMPORTANT that you have fully read and understood your PDC Players Brief which will be sent to you via your email address for every event, also check all up to date news as things change on a regular basis.
Current Update:
Following the recent Government announcement that you are now required to have a negative covid-19 test prior to departure to the UK, please see below.
- all international arrivals to England, including UK nationals, required to present a negative COVID-19 test taken up to 72 hours prior to departure
- passengers will be subject to an immediate fine of £500 if they fail to comply with the new regulations on pre-departure testing
- all passengers arriving from countries not on the government’s travel corridor list will still be required to self-isolate for 10 days, regardless of test result
- passengers will still be required to fill in a passenger locator form and be subject to national lockdown restrictions
Passengers arriving from all international destinations will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result before departing for England to help protect against new strains of coronavirus circulating internationally.
Travelling to the UK:
All players for any PDC Tour can also be sent an official letter from The PDC outlining their exemption as a return to elite sport via the DCMS. (Digital Culture for Media and Sport) This letter is also available for all players in the UK who are in a local/national lockdown.
This DCMS/PDC letter will be sent to you just prior to travel to the event by Hayley Upward at The PDC hayley.upward@pdc.tv When you arrive in the UK following your arrival through customs, go straight to the official PDC Hotel, all other information will be sent to you direct.
The UK & Germany are currently in lockdown so all non essential services will be closed i.e. shops, pubs, restaurants, gyms, etc. If you are travelling into the UK/Germany, make sure you follow all the health protocols, i.e. wear a mask at all appropriate times, social distancing wash hands regularly and use hand sanitiser.
NOTE: Health Protocols/Information for the 2021 PDC Qualifying Schools will be determined shortly and sent to all entrants including both websites, and will be on here and www.pdc.tv

All events will be subject to health screening or testing, each requirement will be sent to you direct by The PDC.

Hotels for the PDC UK Qualifying School is at your own leisure, for the European Qualifying School this can only be booked via PDC-Europe CLICK HERE
If you receive a positive test:
If you unfortunately get a positive test, you are required to leave the venue/hotel and return home to self isolate, if you are not from the country where you get your positive test you need to make arrangements to do this or locate somewhere where you can self-isolate. There will be a health official on site at every event and a PDPA representative.

Before Travelling: if you do feel unwell and display symptoms of the coronavirus you should not travel, and stay at home in self isolation or as directed by health officials.
Travelling on Public Transport: Stay safe and wear a face mask at all times, use hand sanitiser and wash your hands regularly, keep at a safe social distance.
Travel Insurance: Please make sure you are covered in your travel insurance policy, if you are unsure you must check. As due to the Pandemic, you may not be able to claim in certain circumstances.
Flying Home: All countries and regions have different rules on returning to your country of origin, so you must check your governments rules on returning and any quarantine requirements.
