Travel Advice for the ‘Autumn Series’
Enclosed is important information for all players travelling to the PDC Autumn Series in Hildesheim, Germany.
It is IMPORTANT that you have read your PDC Players Brief which was sent to you via your email address, and check up to date news as things change on a regular basis.
Further to the information last week re the PDC Autumn Series in Hildesheim, this email confirms that these events are still scheduled to take place as planned from September 11th-16th.
It has been noted that most flights to Hannover from the UK have been cancelled.
As both the Netherlands and France (potential stopover destinations for connecting flights) have been added to the UK’s Quarantine list, it is now recommended that players arrange to travel directly into Germany.
There are many other various options:
Direct flights to Frankfurt are available, and get a train from Frankfurt to Hannover which takes 2hrs 19mins with (0) changes and 2hrs 45mins (1) change, costs vary but approx from €28.46 one way.
Alternatively, you can also fly to Hamburg and get the train from there. This takes 1hr 14mins and costs from ź16.66. Berlin, as well as Dusseldorf are also options, and there are train connections to Hildesheim approx 2hr from Berlin & approx 3hr 30min from Dusseldorf airport).
if you do feel unwell and display symptoms of the coronavirus you should not travel, and stay at home in self isolation or as directed by health officials.
Travelling on Public Transport:
Stay safe and wear a face mask at all times, use hand sanitiser and wash your hands regularly, keep at a safe social distance.
Please make sure you are covered in your travel insurance policy, if you are unsure you must check. As due to the Pandemic, you may not be able to claim in certain circumstances.
All countries and regions have different rules on returning to your country of origin, so you must check your governments rules on returning and any quarantine requirements.
