JDC Expansion in 2018

THE Junior Darts Corporation is to expand its Modus UK Junior Tour to eight tournaments in 2018.

Tuesday 24 Oct 2017

Article by ‐ PDPA

The JDC’s growth had seen their UK Tour, for players aged from ten-18, become a six-event season in 2017, to be followed by the WDS Associates Junior World Championship which will feature the final on stage at Alexandra Palace in December.

Next year’s circuit will begin on February 17 in Dorchester and then move on to Worcester on March 24, Derby on April 28, Benfleet on June 2, Chorlton on July 14, Exeter on September 15, Solihull on October 27 and Wolverhampton on November 10.

The Grand Finals will then take place in Bristol on December 1-2 as the qualifiers play down to the final, which will again take place at Alexandra Palace.

“We are really pleased to be able to grow the Modus UK Junior Tour next year as this is a great opportunity for juniors in other areas of the country to get to an event and show off their talent,” said JDC Chairman Steve Brown.

“Next year we will be in Exeter, Chorlton and Solihull for the first time. The extra events provide more chances to qualify for the finals, become a JDC Allstar and to climb the JDC Tour Order Of Merit system.

“It’s a great opportunity for young players.”

The 2017 season still has events remaining in Wolverhampton and Coventry ahead of the season-ending finals. For more information about the JDC, please visit www.juniordarts.com.
