Pandemic Travel Information updated guidance:
- From 4am on 11 February all testing requirements will be removed for eligible fully vaccinated arrivals, with only a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) now required.
- Arrivals who are not recognised as fully vaccinated will only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test (booked before travel) on or before day 2 after they arrive in the UK, as well as filling out the PLF. They will not need to self-isolate on arrival, and will only need to do so on receipt of a positive result.
Due to the removal of all requirements to self-isolate on arrival, the elite sports exemptions will no longer be necessary. They will therefore be removed (including the list of specified competitions in Schedule 5 of the Travel Regulations) from legislation as part of the changes coming into force from 4am on Friday 11 February. It is important that sports and elite sportspersons continue to abide by the existing travel rules and legislation in the meantime, until those changes to the travel system take effect on 11 February.
