In 2018 the PDC Q-School will be from 2 venues:
The UK Q-School will be from The Robin Park Leisure Centre in Wigan.
The UK Qualifying School: Will be open to players from the UK, Ireland and Gibraltar. Players from the the Rest of the World (Non-European countries) may choose in which Qualifying School to participate, but will then be tied to that region for any further qualifiers.

Registration on each day:
Players need to register daily in the venue before 11.00am ahead of a 12pm start. If you do not register by 11.00am you will not be included in the draw for that day.
- 09.00 - Doors Open
- 09.00 - 11.00 Registration
- 11.00 - Registration closes, and the draw is done
- 12.00 - Play Commences
- 19.00 - Event concludes (Approximately)
Players are allowed one guest per day for this event and need to give their name to the security team on arrival when registering. Players need to be aware that your guest is your responsibility and they need to dress and act appropriately.
Players will be required to sign their PDPA Membership forms before playing, which will be available in the venue with the PDPA Representatives.
The draw will be made as soon as registration closes and will available each day in the venue once completed, and will be an open draw with no seeded players. If you need to withdraw for the event at any time you must inform the Tournament Director Keith Bisby.
This event works on a loser marks basis, so please make sure you are available to mark the next game if you lose. You may also be asked to mark the first game on the board, so please be aware and check if this is you.
The first games on each board will be announced before the start of play. Players are advised to ensure that you are at your board ready to start when required to play; there will be a board official assigned to your board, so be aware who this is and feel free to check the status of earlier matches.
All games are the best of nine legs throughout. The event is played under PDC and DRA Rules.
Two winners on each day will receive a two-year PDC Tour Card for 2018/2019, and take no further part in Qualifying School.
All other players will go on the UK Qualifying School Order of Merit, which will see points awarded based on performances over the four days. A number of players (exact number TBC prior to Qualifying School) will also receive a Tour Card.
Players will receive one point per win from the first full round of play (which does not include Byes in the draw), Daily Countback and then Legs Difference being used to separate any ties.
Players are reminded about their behavior and it is your own responsibility to behave in an acceptable manner. Players must not drink alcohol in the playing area behind the barriers, bottled water only is allowed (not in glasses). The Tournament Director has the power to stop a game and award the game to the opponent of any player whom the Tournament Director decides is behaving in a way which is damaging to the sport, the PDC, the PDPA, its sponsors or broadcasters.
Rules & dress code:
These events will be played under Darts Regulation Authority Rules, and in accordance with the PDC Order of Merit rules, which are available at www.pdc.tv. The full DRA Rule Book is available at www.thedra.co.uk. Queries regarding individual attire should be addressed to the Tournament Director ahead of the event you are participating in.
With regards to footwear, the DRA rule 5.17.1 applies: Players are not permitted to wear jeans: Neither shall they wear trousers or skirts made with corduroy material, which has been fashioned in a "jeans style". No training shoes will be allowed unless the player provides written medical reasons from a qualified practitioner. The restriction shall apply to any form of "tracksuit" attire. The final decision will rest with the Tournament Director.
Players Please Note: Please be aware that no players or guests are allowed to bring alcoholic drinks into the venue for any of these events. All players and guests will be subject to a bag search by PDC Security before admission to the venue is granted. Only alcoholic drinks bought inside the venue are permitted to be consumed. If you have any alcoholic drinks in your bag you need to remove these prior to entering the arena, or you may be subject to a DRA referral.
Smoking & Drinking:
Smoking is not permitted inside this venue. Smokers should use the designated smoking areas of the building. Players are only permitted to drink water during a match. No other drinks can be consumed during a match; this includes having a drink from the table behind you whilst your opponent is throwing or between legs. This rule will be strictly observed.
Any player under the age of 18 drinking alcohol will be immediately eliminated from the event, and will be seen to be bringing the game into disrepute. This also includes those over 18 seen to be supplying alcoholic drinks to players under 18.
Players are not allowed to drink any alcohol during play, this includes a break of play i.e. toilet break etc. or you will be disqualified and referred to the DRA. Only bottled water is allowed for consumption during play.
For the benefit of competing players, you must switch off your phone when you enter the arena: No Internet browsing devices are allowed in the playing area, this includes mobile phones, tablets and PCs. There are also no cameras allowed in the playing area, this includes cameras, videos and phones with cameras. The Tournament Director’s decision is final.

UK Open Qualifiers: If you play at the UK Qualifying School and do not win a PDC Tour Card, you are classed as a PDPA Associate Member. You are eligible to enter all six Coral UK Open Qualifiers for FREE. These events will be limited to 256 entries, based on initially being open to the 128 Tour Card Holders with places allocated up to 256 players from a combined Qualifying School Order of Merit.
European Tour events: If you play at the UK Qualifying School, you can enter all European Tour Qualifiers FREE but must enter prior to the deadline. And you need to be in the top 32 of the CTOoM (Of UK based players) at the time of the deadline.
Players Championship: If you do not gain a PDC Tour Card you are eligible to play on the PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour. Fields for Players Championship events (which are initially open to PDC Tour Card Holders and limited to 128 players) will topped up by players based on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit.

From the South: Leave the M6 at J25, turn left at the roundabout onto the A49 towards Wigan. Continue straight over a roundabout a subsequent sets of traffic lights until you reach a large junction called ‘Saddle Junction’. You will see ASDA in front of you, turn left so that you keep ASDA on your right and there will be a fire station on your left (Robin Park Road). At the traffic lights turn right into Loire Drive, follow this road straight across a mini roundabout and round to the back of the shops. The Sports Centre will be on your left and the Arena on your right
From the North: Leave the M6 at J26 turn right onto the A577 signed towards Wigan. Follow the road through 2 sets of traffic lights and arrive at Saddle Junction. Then follow directions above. There is ample free parking on site, please be aware that on match days parking can be more difficult and charges can apply, also on these days make sure you are in a correct parking area.
Robin Park Tennis Centre is an approximate 5 minutes drive from both Wigan Wallgate and Wigan North Western Railway Stations, £3/£4 in a Taxi.
