THE PDC's growth across Germany will continue in 2019 as Cologne stages a World Series of Darts event for the first time.
Austria's Mensur Suljovic will defend his title at the German Darts Masters on July 12-13 as the sport's top stars return to Europe for the third staging of that event. Five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld and reigning European Champion James Wade will join Van Gerwen, Cross, Anderson, Gurney and Wright in competing at the LANXESS Arena in Cologne.
Those eight PDC stars will take on eight leading German aces, with the World Cup pairing of Max Hopp and Martin Schindler to be joined by German Superleague qualifiers Gabriel Clemens, Nico Kurz, Kevin Munch, Robert Marijanovic, Christian Bunse and Maik Langendorf.

Peter Wright was the inaugural German Darts Masters champion when the World Series of Darts first visited Germany in 2017. Mensur Suljovic then took last year’s title in Gelsenkirchen, defeating Dimitri Van den Bergh to conclude a record-breaking day.
This year’s event will see the eight first round ties take place on Friday July 12, before the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final are held on Saturday July 13. Tickets for the German Darts Masters are available now through www.eventim.de/german-darts-masters.
