BETTING INTEGRITY/ANTI CORRUPTION:
It is important to know as a PDPA member, you are not allowed to bet on Darts ‘AT ALL – FULL STOP’
We along with the DRA & PDC maintain the integrity of the sport, and work closely with the Gambling Commission and other betting operators to monitor betting activity on matches. Where there are suspicious or unusual betting patterns in relation to a match, the DRA will be notified before the match is played.
The Integrity Unit will assess and analyse information received on a confidential basis, reporting to the DRA Disciplinary Chair any matters that it considers may require further investigation and/or regulatory action.
The DRA welcomes any information relating to corruption in darts, including information on match fixing, gambling in darts by participating players or any other information relating to attempts by potential corruptors to compromise players or match officials in any manner.
Such information can be passed to the Integrity Unit either through a confidential email or to the Darts Hotline: Email: integrity@thedra.co.uk Darts Hotline; +44(0)7305 964578.
The identity of any person sharing information will be kept strictly confidential and will not be revealed to anyone outside of the DRA without the specific permission of the person providing the information.
The PPF has produced some betting integrity education films for use by our members.

The DRA:

ANTI-DOPING:
The PDPA along with the DRA and PDC adopts a full anti-doping regime with regard to the Sport of Darts. The anti-doping rules of the DRA are the UK Anti-Doping Rules published by the Drug-Free Sport Directorate of UK Sport (or its successor).
Drug Testing: Players competing in events organised by associations affiliated to the DRA may be subject to random drugs tests at any time.
These independent tests would then be analysed following the standard procedures, and any failed test would then be subject to further investigation and, where appropriate, a UK Anti-Doping Disciplinary Hearing.
(TUE FORMS) Therapeutic Use Exemptions. Players may be concerned that being prescribed medication for a medical condition it may affect their ability to participate in a darts event.
Many prescribed drugs will not prevent you from competing, but some may. The key point for players is to contact the DRA via the following email addresses at the earliest opportunity to check any prescribed medication:
Tim Ollerenshaw (disciplinary.commissioner@gmail.com)
Monika Krtenova (disciplinary.coordinator@gmail.com)
They will be able provide assistance and support in players should deal with matters. In urgent situations, players can also contact UK Anti-Doping directly via www.ukad.org.uk
Players are reminded that it is an individual’s responsibility to ensure that they are safe to compete. The thrust of regulation and education is personal liability. If a player is unsure about how a drug may affect their ability to compete fairly, they are advised seek advice before they start taking the relevant medication.
The DRA is available to help and to maximise the chances of players being able to compete in events, not the other way round.
