A new face for the 2006 Holsten Premier League, Raymond decided to join the Professional Darts Corporation in February.
A four-time winner of the BDO World Championship, he is the greatest ever Dutch player and a hero in his homeland.
A top professional for over ten years, the former Postman has won a multitude of titles around the world during a glittering career.
Last year saw him lift the World Masters title for the second time, and he narrowly missed out on a fifth World Championship when he went down to Jelle Klaasen in January 2006.
He has won the International Darts League and World Darts Trophy in his homeland, and three World Cup Singles titles.
A former pairs team-mate of Roland Scholten, the duo won both the World Cup Doubles and World Pairs in 1997.
Raymond competed in the PDPA Players Championships held by the PDC in Holland last November, losing to old adversary Phil Taylor in one semi-final.
The pair also met in head-to-head at Wembley in 1999, with Taylor coming out on top with a 21 legs to ten victory.
With two further World Championship titles under his belt since, 'Barney' has cemented his position as Holland's favourite sporting character.
He is now embarking on an exciting new period in his career after joining the PDC circuit to play for further glories.
