THE draw for the year’s final European Tour event, the Dutch Darts Masters, has been made ahead of the event from October 26-28. The 64-player event will be held at the Van Der Valk Hotel in Nuland, with £82,100 prize money on offer in the fifth of the year’s European Tour events.
Phil Taylor, the number one seed and June’s German Darts Championship winner in Berlin, will play Steve Hine – one of the 20 UK Qualifiers – in the first round. Austrian Open winner Justin Pipe plays Andy Jenkins, June’s European Darts Open winner Raymond van Barneveld plays Mick Todd and last weekend’s PartyPoker.com World Grand Prix champion Michael van Gerwen takes on Peter Hudson. Simon Whitlock, the number two seed, will face Denmark’s Per Laursen in the first round, Wes Newton drew Germany’s Jyhan Artut, Andy Hamilton plays Dennis Smith and Terry Jenkins meets young German qualifier Max Hopp.
Dutch stars Vincent van der Voort and Co Stompe drew Bernd Roith and Terry Temple respectively.
Former UK Open champion Roland Scholten – one of the four Home Nation Qualifiers – will play Ronnie Baxter, while Toon Greebe drew Colin Osborne, Gino Vos will play Dave Chisnall and Dick van Dijk drew Steve Brown.
