THE 2012 Qualifying School comes to a close with Day Four at the Barnsley Metrodome on Sunday.
Welsh youngster Jamie Lewis bt Andy Jenkins to win the first Tour Card of the day, Bernd Roith who made his debut at the European Championships a few years ago won a last leg decider against former Lakeside Champion Les Wallace to win the second.
Yorkshires Dave Smith retains his Tour Card and finally the last automatic place goes to Johnny Haines.
The top 24 on the Q School merit table (Below) also get 2 year Tour Card which includes former Lakeside Champion Les Wallace who lost in the first round on Day 1, 2 & 3 but a final appearance today gave him one of the last spots.
With 12 players having already won their Tour Cards, the remaining 182 players returned to compete for the final four automatic Tour Cards.
In addition the top 24 players from the Qualifying School Order of Merit – based on ranking points from the four days of play – will also win Tour Cards.
The remaining players become Associate Members of the PDPA, allowing them to enter the UK Open Qualifiers, non-UK Players Championships and qualifiers for the European Tour events and World Championship.
All games will be the best of 11 legs.
