‘OZZY’ back on the winning trail in Germany

COLIN ‘OZZY OSBORNE BEATS JAMES RICHARDSON IN THE SUNDAY PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS GLADBECK GERMANY Colin Osborne breaks James Richardsons dream with a 6-2 win in the Sunday Players Championships.

Osborne who himself has been on a bad run consolidates his position on both merit table. Rushdens James Richardsons run which was ended by Osborne in the final was his best run to date in a PDC event.

Previously that of two last 16 positions, his final run will earn him a place in the World Championships with a move up the PCOoM table and of course a break into the top 100 on the PDC OoM.

Osborne started the day with a win over locals Meszaros Zsolt 6-1 and 6-2 wins over Peter Martin, Kevin Munch and PDC Pro Terry Temple to move OZZY into the quarter finals. In the quarter final he beat PDC youth player Chris Aubrey again by 6-2 and Mark Walsh in the semi-final by 6-2. James Richardson had the day of his life, he started with a 6-4 win over youth player Adam Smith-Neale and by the same score over PDC Pro Co Stompe.

A fantastic 6-3 win over Simon Whitlock, and a 6-2 over Steve Brown moved the Rushden ace into the last 8. He then met Steve Farmer and disposed of him in style before another great win this time over Paul Nicholson in the semi-finals to move Richardson into the final.
