THE 2012 PDC calendar of events has been announced, and will include the introduction of a European Tour next year.

The 2012 Qualifying School will be held at the Barnsley Metrodome from January 19-22. Full details will be confirmed shortly of how to enter.

The UK-based PDC ProTour events will continue to be held at the K2 Centre in Crawley and at the Barnsley Metrodome, as well as at Reading’s Rivermead Centre and in the Community Hall of the NIA in Birmingham. However, the PDC will operate a new series of events in Germany, Holland and Austria next year, which will be held across four days from Thursday-Sunday, featuring a minimum prize fund of £75,000 with at least the last 32 playing on stage. The PDC ProTour season will kick off in Benidorm in late January with a Players
Championship double-header, with Dublin and Killarney also hosting non-UK events.

The European Championship will move to be played in September in Muelheim, Germany, while the second World Cup of Darts will be played in Holland in February at a venue to be confirmed.
