Canadian Part gives the home crowd what they wanted by beating inform Wes Newton in the final of the Canadian Players Championships by 6 legs to 4.
Part, who has himself been in great form wins his third tour title of 2011, he beat fellow canadian Shaun Brennerman 6-4, and followed another win by the same score against Dutch youngster Mareno Michels.
In the last 16 he overcame Kevin Painter also 6-4, Peter Wright in the quarter finals and Jamie Caven in the semi finals before his final win.
Newton, had earlier beaten 3 North American players, and Swedish No 1 Magnus Caris, beofre an epic 6-5 win over Justin Pipe in the last 8.
Then a semi final win against ‘The Heat’ Denis Ovens 6-3 to move towards yet another final on the PDC tour.
