With the draw for the WMP taking place on Sunday evening, following the finish of the Sunday Dutch Darts Trophy. A number of players will be aiming to cement their places in Blackpool. Vincent van der Voort, Wayne Jones & Andy Hamilton are in 15th/16th & 17th respectively on the PDC Order of Merit (OoM) where the top 16 automatically qualify. Hamilton is well placed on the Players Championship Order of Merit which gives the further 16 places, although Jones & van der Voort are not. Justin Pipe, Dave Chisnall, Mark Hylton, John Henderson & Scott Rand are all in line for Blackpool debuts. But on the borderline are Colin Osborne, Magnus Caris & Antonio Alcinas all on £4,200 in 15th/16th & 17th place just ahead of Steve Beaton, Willian O’Connor, Co Stompe & Robert Thornton. A good run by any of these players will give them a great chance for qualification, but with over £70,000 in prize money on offer and £6,000 to the winner on each day, it is definatley all to play for.
