Former World Champion John Part beat Denis Ovens 6-0 in the Final of the Vienna, Players Championships to claim another title. The event at the Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt near Vienna saw Ovens come back from the brink of defeat in his semi-final win against Kim Huybrechts, trailing 3-5 Ovens took the last 3 legs to clain the final spot. Part who had earlier beat Phil Taylor got the better of Peter Wright in the semi final and whitewashed his opponent to clain the title.
