PDC ‘Q’ SCHOOL 09/12/10

Please find below the information you will need to know for becoming a PDPA member for 2011.

PDPA membership is valid for a whole season or calendar year i.e. 1st January – 31st December of that year.
NOTE; Cut off dates for membership entry can vary, please see entry deadlines.

You can only be a PDPA member if you are;
(a) An honorary member (Each honorary member will receive updated rules and regulations annually)
(b) Invited to play on the PDC Pro-Tour 2011 (Top 96 + other invites)
(c) As a PDPA non-member if you qualify for the PDC World Championships in 2010, you are then required to be a full
PDPA member prior to play.
To play on the PDC Pro-Tour you must first qualify either through invitation or ‘Q’ School
(d) You enter the 2011 ‘Q’ School

Once ‘Q’ School has concluded, no memberships for the PDPA will be taken until the 2012 season, unless as a non-member you qualify for a PDC TV event (Not UK Open) then full membership is needed (See Below)

The PDPA reserves the right to change or alter these rules at any time.

The PDPA constitution form is attached to the membership application form.

The PDPA code of conduct, DRA acceptance form and PDC contract are enclosed in the player’s pack which will be dispatched once application is received.

For membership, you are required to have played at the ‘Q’ School; entry alone does not determine associate membership.

If you turn down a tour card, your membership is automatically terminated. You can next play in the 2012 PDC ‘Q’ School.

If you qualify for any PDC TV event (Not UK Open) you will need to enrol as a full member prior to play i.e. World Championships/World Matchplay/World Grand Prix/European Championships/Players Championship Finals.

Types of Membership
Full PDPA Membership;
Is required if you have qualified for the PDC Pro-Tour in 2011 i.e. you are one of the 96 OoM invites + 5 for 2011 only, Any other PDC invites or you have qualified from the PDC ‘Q’ School in 2011, full voting rights and use of all PDPA benefits and partners deals.

Honorary Membership;
As an honorary member you can play in any PDC qualifier i.e. UK Open Regional or World Championship qualifier but an up to date PDC playing contract is required for eligibility, full voting rights and PDPA benefits and partners. To play on the PDC Pro-Tour you would firstly have to qualify, then have an up to date PDC playing contract  

Associate Membership;
Any player who enters the ‘Q’ School, but does not gain an automatic place on the tour will remain on the QSOoM (Q School Order of Merit Table) and will be eligible when deficits appear to play at Players Championship events in order of their QSOoM ranking. Associate members are also eligible to play in UK Open Regional’s and the PDPA World Championships qualifier.
For Non-UK events you can enter, but you may be subject to go through the local qualifying system, dependant on entries.   

Day Membership;
Non Members can play as day members with the payment of a PDPA supplement as part of their entry fee. (Some Restrictions Apply) only at Non-UK Players Championships SEE PDC RULES

Age Restriction
Applicants must be aged 18 or over, however applicants aged 16-18 will be accepted on the understanding of any licensing law restrictions in certain venues and events. If aged 16-18 you would also need parental consent SEE CONSTITUTION

Fees
Honorary Member;
No annual fee, a current PDC playing contract must be signed to play in any PDC event.          

Full Member;
Fee of £400 to be paid by 7th January 2011 2pm   
Note;
Failure to do so may terminate your membership, Non-Members who have qualified for the 2010/2011 PDC WC must sign a declaration form to deduct your membership fee from your prize money, this is required prior to playing in this event, the fee entitles you to membership until 31st December the following season.

You are a Full PDPA Member if you are invited onto the PDC Pro-Tour i.e. you in the Top 96 +5 for 2011 of the PDC Order of Merit as of the cut off date 1-12-10, and you fullfill the criteria OR you qualify via the PDC Q’ School.

Associate Member; £200 (Paid To Enter ‘Q’ School) You are an associate member if you did not qualify for the pro-tour but played in the ’Q’ School and are on the QSOoM (Q School Order of Merit)                                                                  

Day Membership; Day membership is only available in events outside the UK, your fee as a day member is your entry fee paid to enter the event either via the qualifiers or the main draw to your local organiser. Entry in to events as a Day Member constitutes acceptance of all PDC and DRA rules. From 2011 all day members will receive PDPA/PDC information relating to their day membership.                               

Deadlines
Membership Entry deadlines are as follows;
Players invited to the PDC ProTour 2011 i.e. Top 96 in OoM as at 1st December 2010 + 5 other OoM players, are required to have paid your full membership by 7th January 2011, failure to have done so by that date would result in your membership being revoked.
‘Q’ School entry must be received by 10th January 2011 at 2pm if you qualify from ‘Q’ School to the main tour you will have 7 days to register your membership i.e. 2pm 23rd January 2011 or your place will be offered to another player

‘Q’ School
Entry Fee for the PDC ‘Q’ School is £200, if you qualify for the pro-tour you are required to pay the full PDPA membership i.e. a further £200 (£400 in Total) This is required to be paid in full within 7 days of the ‘Q’ School finishing i.e. 23rd January 2011 otherwise your tour card could be made void
If you do not qualify for the pro-tour via ‘Q’ school you will be added to the QSOoM and can be invited to play in players championships if there is a shortfall of entries (No Further PDPA Fees Required/Just Entry)

You can enter the PDC ‘Q’ School from 10th December 2010 until 10th January 2011 at 2pm.

Open draw every day.

Termination
Any PDPA member can terminate their membership in writing to the PDPA at any point during the season/year, but must be aware that restrictions may apply i.e. they would be unable to play in any further PDC events that season.
Other Restrictions;

1/If your membership is terminated or you resign at any point during the year/season you would only be available to play in the next PDC ‘Q’ School in 2012.
2/You would be restricted to only playing in the UK Open amateur qualifiers only after a period of 2 years from termination of your membership.
3/You cannot enter a Non-UK event as a day member for a period of 12 Months from the date of your membership termination.
