Specialist bed retailer and one of The PDPA’s official partners Bensons for Beds have made it ‘three in a bed’!  The company is to sponsor three of the top British professional darts players for the next year.

PDPA members Colin Lloyd, Colin Osborne and Andy Hamilton (ranked 8th, 10th and 11th respectively in the Professional Darts Corporation Order of Merit  have signed a five figure 12 month sponsorship deal with Bensons for Beds from June 1st 2010.

“We are delighted to be sponsoring a ‘treble’ of high flying players,” said Mike Roberts, finance director of Bensons, and himself a PDC player. “Darts is a very popular sport with a huge fan base.  As a leading bed expert we know if you want to hit a one hundred and eighty or a nine dart finish, you need a good night’s sleep on a quality bed to be at the top of your game!”

Lloyd, Osborne and Hamilton will wear Bensons for Beds shirt patches on all playing shirts on all occasions for the period of the agreement, to include TV events, non TV events, exhibitions and personal appearances.

The sponsorship deal starts with the UK Open Finals at the Reebok, Bolton in June and will cover a full year cycle of tournaments including the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, World Championships and hopefully the Premier League, should the players be successful in qualifying.
